Looking for G Ratings

Why was it on the big Memorial Day weekend there were no decent family movies? Out of the 23 screens in the Santa Clarita Valley there was only one “new” movie rated PG (“The Second Jungle Book”) and none rated G. At the independent theater there were three PGs, but they weren’t acceptable for small children or we had seen them.
Not everyone wants to take their children, especially under 10 years old, to see dinosaurs eating people. Hey, don’t get me wrong, I think dinosaurs eating people are great, but I am 38 years old. I realized long ago that it was just pretend.
I know summer is still less than a month away, but there are those of us who like to beat the heat and spend a couple of hours in a cool theater now, with our children. So, all you movie people, wake up! Let’s see some family entertainment at our theaters.
