NEW YORK — Florida topped the list when a poll asked Americans where they would choose to live if they could be in any state except the one they live in now.
The next most frequently mentioned states were Arizona, California, Colorado, Tennessee, North Carolina and Hawaii, in that order, the Harris Poll said in a report being released today.
The only Northeast or Midwest state in the top 15 was New York (13th).
Louis Harris and Associates polled a random sample of 1,034 adults from May 1-5. The margin of error was plus or minus 3%.
