Vigilantes Shut Out by Grays Harbor

Darrell Goedhart pitched a three-hit shutout to lead Grays Harbor to a 3-0 victory over the Vigilantes in the second game of a three-game series Saturday night in Hoquiam, Wash.
Goedhart struck out seven and walked none as he improved his record to 3-1.
Designated hitter Rex Gonzales had two hits and Tim McDonnell, Mark Kingston and Joel Nations each had a run batted in to lead the Gulls’ offense.
Bret Barberie, formerly with the Montreal Expos, had two of the Vigilantes’ three hits. The other hit was by Alan Burke.
Vigilante pitcher Mike Smith (2-2) threw 6 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on five hits. He walked four in taking the loss.
The Gulls improved to 15-12 and the Vigilantes dropped to 11-16.
