Teenager Found Shot to Death in Pacoima

PACOIMA — A 17-year-old youth was shot to death in an attack police said appeared to be gang-related.
The victim was identified Saturday by Los Angeles County Coroner’s officials as Jorge Martinez of Pacoima.
The shooting occurred about 6:15 p.m. Friday in the 13000 block of Carl Street, Los Angeles police said.
Officers responding to a 911 call about shots being fired in the area found Martinez lying on the sidewalk with a bullet wound in his torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said no suspects have been identified in the shooting.
