City Selected to Host Mayors Art Conference

The U.S. Conference of Mayors has selected Cerritos to host its 1998 Mayors Art Conference Feb. 25-27.
“This is a very prestigious group,” said Mayor Bruce Barrows. “The conference will bring national attention to the city and the region.”
The city was selected because the award-winning Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts demonstrates how suburban communities can bring the performing arts to a metropolitan region, Barrows said.
