City to Take Bids for Library Parking Lot
- Share via
There soon may be more parking available for library patrons under a measure being considered tonight by the City Council.
The council is expected to seek bids from companies to pave an empty downtown lot on Olinda Street near Lemon Drive to make spaces available near the main library.
The city bought the land, which is in the downtown redevelopment zone, last year.
For a while, the city considered holding a weekly farmer’s market on the spot, across the street from the library, until the branch director objected. She said the market might disturb library patrons.
The council meets at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 4845 Casa Loma Ave. Information: (714) 961-7100.
