Image Entertainment Starts Work on Vegas Facility

Image Entertainment Inc. has begun construction on a 76,000-square-foot automated distribution center next to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas operation, which is scheduled to open by September 1998, will replace the company’s current 48,300-square-foot distribution center in Chatsworth. Image Entertainment said the lease on its Chatsworth facility runs until March 2000. The company will sublease the empty space.
Image Entertainment, based in Chatsworth, is the biggest distributor of laser discs in North America, and it also distributes DVDs.
