Greystone Homes will be allowed to build single-family homes instead of affordable senior condominiums under an agreement recently approved by the City Council.
The building site had been slated for 438 affordable senior condominiums as outlined in the Forster Ranch Specific Plan. But the City Council last week approved an amendment that will allow the company to build 65 single family homes at Camino de los Mares and Portico del Sur.
Greystone Homes acquired the 25-acre lot from the Irvine-based partnership of Laing Homes, Institutional Housing Partners and New West Properties.
