Reservoir Pipeline Fixed After Dec. 6 Storm Damage
- Share via
Crews completed repairs last week to the Krum Reservoir pipeline that sprung a leak Dec. 6 during heavy rains.
The tear in the 12-inch pipeline was about 28 feet under ground; crews replaced about 80 feet of concrete pipe.
Capistrano Valley Water District customers served by the reservoir live in the Camino Las Ramblas area.
Repair costs are estimated at $45,000, but the city plans to apply for federal reimbursement. Cities are permitted to apply for Federal Emergency Management Agency funds because Orange County was declared a disaster area after the storm.
