Billboard Contest Set for Ballet Folklorico

Ballet Folklorico de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez will accept entries through July 25 for a design contest to create the company’s 1997 Los Angeles billboard.
The competition is open to children 9-14 years of age, and the contest’s theme is “What Ballet Folklorico Means to Me.”
The winning entry will be displayed for two weeks on a 12-foot-by-26-foot outdoor billboard.
The winning artist will receive four tickets to the company’s upcoming performances at the Music Center’s Ahmanson Theatre, Sept. 3-7.
