NBC Doesn’t Have Remote Clue on Open

Last Saturday, NBC’s broadcast of the third round of the U.S. Women’s Open was terminated at 4:10. This left the leader and eventual winner of the tournament, Alison Nicholas, with one hole to be played.

The show that followed on Channel 4 from 4:10 to 4:30 was called “America’s Dumbest Criminals.” Perhaps NBC programming executives should have been included in the show.

I can only speculate what might have happened had this been the men’s U.S. Open with Tiger Woods leading with one hole to be played in Saturday’s round.
