Interlink Electronics in Camarillo announced 39% revenue growth in the third quarter, ending Sept. 30.
With revenues of $4.8 million, the company recorded another record quarter, officials said. VersaPoint pointing products, Interlink’s main product line, increased 34% compared with the third quarter of last year.
The company recorded net income of $278,000 or 6 cents per share, compared with $115,000 or 3 cents per share for the same period last year.
“We posted our 10th consecutive record quarter, growing revenues by 39% and doubling earnings over last year,” said E. Michael Thoben, Interlink chairman, chief executive officer and president. “We [also] completed a direct equity investment into the company by one of our Asian manufacturing partners. This investment not only strengthens our ties to an area of the world that is vital to our future competitiveness, but short-term it improves our working capital and solidifies our balance sheet.”
Contributing to last quarter’s success, Thoben said, was the sale of a microjoystick for the new IBM ScrollPoint mouse.
Interlink Electronics’ products include wireless hand-held remote controls and keyboards, touch pads, pointing sticks and desktop PC pointing devices.
The company maintains offices in Camarillo and Tokyo.
