“I just had the 1993 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay; it is pretty darned good. It’s just rounding into shape. It’s one of those Chardonnays that’s going to live a few more years and develop a round, rich character. It’s still got kind of an appley character, but it’s a very smooth, full-bodied, together wine. There are no sharp edges and nothing rough. It’s very nice indeed.
