St. Margaret’s Scores Two Touchdowns, Hangs On

MISSION VIEJO — St. Margaret’s two touchdowns in the first half were all the points it would need as the Tartans defeated Riverside California School for the Deaf, 14-8, Thursday at Capistrano Valley High School.
The Tartans’ (4-4, 2-2) first score came when quarterback Jimmy Freeman connected with Dylan Gilbert in the first quarter on a 16-yard pass to make the score 7-0 after Alex Perrin’s extra point.
St. Margaret’s other touchdown was a 12-yard pass from Perrin to Rhett Swanson in the second quarter to make the score, 14-0, at the half.
