GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

There are 25 playoff matches featuring Orange County teams, and one of the more interesting matchups, beginning at 7 tonight, involves Empire League champion Cypress (13-2), and league player of the year Laura Woiemberghe, hosting Century League co-champion Foothill (12-4) in the second round of the Division II-AA playoffs.

In Division II-A, Huntington Beach (11-7), which has struggled since losing outside hitter Lori Daedelow to a separated shoulder, plays at San Clemente (9-10). With Daedelow, the Oilers defeated the Tritons in three games in the season opener.
