Deputies to Target Hillcrest Intersection

Ventura County sheriff’s deputies will keep an eye out this week for drivers who ignore traffic signals at the intersection of Hillcrest Drive and Rancho Conejo Boulevard in Thousand Oaks, according to the department’s traffic bureau.
A rash of collisions at the intersection prompted the increased patrols, officials said. Deputies will ticket drivers who fail to obey signals in the area.
The extra response this week is part of an effort to reduce the number of traffic accidents in the city.
