REDLANDS — Same place, same time, same thing.
Flintridge Prep, which was eliminated by Arrowhead Christian Academy in a quarterfinal last year by the same score, didn’t change things in a rematch Friday night at Arrowhead Christian.
Johnathan Reed rushed for 302 yards and two touchdowns in 19 carries as Arrowhead Christian, the defending champion, defeated Flintridge Prep, 44-14, in a Division XII quarterfinal.
J.P. Blecksmith completed 10 of 20 passes for 112 yards and scored the first touchdown for Flintridge Prep (6-5) on a one-yard run with 7:13 left in the second quarter.
The run capped a 12-play, 52-yard drive.
Evan Cablayan had nine carries for 42 yards. Flintridge Prep’s other score came on the opening drive of the third quarter when Andrew Torres scored on a six-yard run to cap a five-play, 59-yard drive.
Blecksmith threw a 32-yard pass to Peter Twist to set up the touchdown. Twist made four catches for 75 yards.
Arrowhead Christian (9-3) did not punt and had three touchdowns nullified by penalties. The Eagles scored on their first four possessions.
