Residents Have Chance to Meet Firefighters

The Fire Department will host an open house Oct. 11 to acquaint members of the community with firefighters, paramedics and professional equipment.
Refreshments and information about fire safety will be provided, Fire Chief Bernard Heimos said. Free balloons and fire helmets will be available for children.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station No. 1, 17737 Bushard St. Information: (714) 593-4424.
