Franklin Telecom in Westlake Village announced that Bay Networks of Santa Clara has begun ordering Franklin’s Typhoon D-mark channel banks.
Bay Networks, a major player in the worldwide internetworking market, has 184 offices in 90 countries. The initial order from Franklin is designated for offices in Maryland.
Franklin officials said Bay Networks is one of several high-tech manufacturers that use the Typhoon D-mark to test their own equipment. U.S. Robotics, Cirrus Logic, GVC, Texas Instruments and IBM are among Franklin’s other customers that have installed Typhoons for their in-house test units, company officials said.
Franklin Telecom designs and manufactures communications devices and software.
