Flintridge Prep 19, Webb 13--After his team blew a 13-0 lead by surrendering two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, Rebel quarterback J.P. Blecksmith ran 65 yards for the winning touchdown with three minutes to play in a Prep League opener at Webb (2-2).
It was Flintridge Prep’s third consecutive game in which the outcome was decided in the final three minutes.
Blecksmith finished with 84 yards in 10 carries and completed five of 10 passes for 97 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown play to Peter Twist to give the Rebels (3-3) a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.
Evan Cablayan led the Rebels with 86 yards in 17 carries, including a 10-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
