Bonita Village Pupil Placement on Agenda
Dozens of parents and residents are expected to crowd a meeting today as the Newport-Mesa Unified School District considers where children from the Bonita Village development should attend school.
Although no decision is expected, the board will discuss several possibilities for the children, who would come from a development under construction south of the San Joaquin Hills Corridor and east of MacArthur Boulevard.
The development is part of Irvine but is being annexed by Newport Beach.
One option would reopen the Eastbluff School, which is now leased to a private elementary school.
The board meets at 5 p.m. at Newport-Mesa Education Center at 2985 Bear St., Costa Mesa.
Information: (714) 424-5000.
