Toddler Falls to His Death From 2nd Story

GARDEN GROVE — A 2-year-old boy died after he fell from a second-story window Monday morning, the coroner’s office reported.
Hector Vasquez was playing on the couch in his family’s apartment, in the 11000 block of Gilbert Street, officials said. About 10:40 a.m., he climbed to an open window next to the couch and fell out, plunging to the ground-floor patio, officials said.
He was pronounced dead at UC Irvine Medical Center.
