Local business owner Jim Williams was honored Friday with a plaque on Fullerton Union High School’s “Wall of Fame,” an honor bestowed on one former student each year.
Williams is being recognized for his community involvement and support of youth programs, school officials said.
In 1973, Williams and his father opened Williams-Company Insurance Brokers Inc. Since then he has been involved in many community activities, including Fullerton Community Services Commission, the Boys and Girls Club of Fullerton and the Rotary Club. He works with youth as a volunteer Fullerton Ranger soccer coach, Cub Scout leader, youth counselor and snow skiing instructor for the National Handicapped Sports Assn.
He resides in Fullerton with his wife, Sally, and children Jennifer and Michael.
