Green Was on Trumpet

Thanks to Timothy Mangan for crediting me with outstanding participation as a soloist in the recent L.A. Philharmonic-Salonen Mahler Third concert review (“Salonen’s Passion, Control Uplift Mahler’s Third,” Oct. 18).

But Donald Green played the trumpet solo in the Mahler and, since he did so exceedingly well, it’s a shame he did not receive the accolade.
