The Newport Mesa Irvine Interfaith Council will host the fourth annual Walk for Peace on Saturday at Triangle Square.
Organizers said this year’s walk aims to promote and improve the international rights of children and raise awareness of related issues at the United Nations.
Members of the Costa Mesa and Newport Beach city councils will address the walkers, organizers said.
Exhibit booths will open at 10 a.m., and the walk will begin at 11. Dance City, Baha’i Gospel Choir and Ritmo Latino will perform afterward.
The 1996 Walk for Peace attracted 400 participants.
Triangle Square is bounded by 19th Street and Harbor and Newport boulevards. The event is free.
