Workshop Planned on How to Use Library

The Balboa Branch of the Newport Beach Public Library is holding a workshop to teach patrons how to find what they are looking for in the library.
Among the search strategies visitors will learn is how to use the library’s online card catalog. They also will learn to use computerized databases such as the magazine index, the health reference center and the national newspaper index.
The free program will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The Balboa Branch Library is at 100 E. Balboa Blvd. Information: (714) 717-3801.
