From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Search warrants in the JonBenet Ramsey slaying can be made public because media leaks in the case have made keeping them secret unnecessary, a judge ruled. Judge Diane MacDonald, however, allowed prosecutors to keep portions sealed because people who are not considered suspects are mentioned. JonBenet, 6, was found strangled and beaten in her family’s basement the afternoon of Dec. 26, nearly eight hours after her mother reported finding a ransom note demanding $118,000 for JonBenet’s safe return.
