Cory Williams
Santa Ana, Sophomore
Baseball
Williams, a second baseman from Bellflower St. John Bosco, had six hits in 13 at-bats last week. His biggest hit, a bases-loaded two-run double, started Santa Ana toward a 10-4 victory Thursday over Riverside. The hit came against Cody Trask, who had a five-game winning streak prior to this loss. Williams started this week hitting .410 with 11 doubles, three home runs and 29 runs batted in.

Baseball
Lars Birkeland
* Saddleback, sophomore. He had six hits and drove in seven runs for Saddleback.
Michelle Harrison
Fullerton, Sophomore
Softball
Harrison, a pitcher from Orange Lutheran High, is 13-7 this season, but her record is deceiving. Fullerton has averaged less than a run in each of her losses. She pitched two two-hitters last week, defeating Golden West and Cypress, which had its 15-game winning streak ended. She has given up four earned runs in her last 60 innings and hasn’t walked a batter in her last 22 innings.
