2 Sentenced in Plot to Steal Military Planes

A judge in Tucson sentenced two men to prison for conspiring to steal 28 surplus military planes that the government said were worth more than $20 million. U.S. District Judge William Browning rejected a defense claim that the government withheld information about alleged CIA ties to a shady exchange program for surplus military planes. Browning also rejected motions for acquittal or for a new trial based on contentions that the court or prosecution committed a series of errors in its prosecution of Roy D. Reagan and Fred A. Fuchs.
