In other nonleague softball:
No. 8 Santa Margarita 6, Capistrano Valley 0--Danielle Rodriguez (5-1) threw a one-hitter. Kristen Morley had a double, a triple, a RBI and scored twice. Krystal Fonte added two hits, two RBIs and one run scored for the Eagles (10-1-1). Capistrano Valley is 9-4.
El Modena 1, Orange Lutheran 0--Erin Norton pitched a three-hitter and struck out nine for El Modena (9-2-1), outdueling Jennifer Edwards. Sealy Bair’s RBI single in the bottom of the sixth provided the difference.
Esperanza 4, Sonora 3 (11)--Lauren VanKurin’s sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning scored Katie Louwsma. Kristen Hilliard pitched a five-hitter for the Aztecs (6-2), who got two hits from Koral King.
St. Margaret’s 1, Solana Beach Santa Fe Christian 0--Abbey Arnold pitched a no-hitter and struck out 18, and led off the bottom of the seventh with a home run to lift St. Margaret’s.
In the Garden Grove League:
Los Amigos 1, La Quinta 0 (8)--Monica Curiel’s two-out single in the bottom of the eighth lifted Los Amigos (8-3, 3-1). Kim Guillen pitched a complete game and struck out four.
