Killer of Child Gets Death

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 24-year-old man was sentenced Tuesday to death in the electric chair for killing a 3-year-old boy taken hostage during a home robbery.
Jason Stephens admitted kidnapping Robert Sparrow III to ensure that none of the adults would follow him from the home he had broken into in June with two others.
The boy was found dead several hours later in the getaway car.
