Division of Litton Earns $30-Million Contract

Litton Industries’ Ingalls Shipbuilding division has received a $30-million contract to build four offshore vessels for a Louisiana company.
The 165-foot-long vessels are to be delivered by 1999 to Searex Inc., based in Mandeville, La.
Litton’s Ingalls unit also builds surface combat ships for the U.S. Navy and allied nations.
Litton Industries, headquartered in Woodland Hills, is a major defense contractor.
