Suzanne Guy
El Toro, Senior; Softball/Pitcher
Guy won both of her starts last week to improve to 6-3. She beat then fifth-ranked Irvine on a one-hitter, 1-0, with eight strikeouts to open Sea View League play. Guy also pitched a three-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 6-1 victory over Cerritos in pool play of the Woodbridge Easter Classic softball tournament.
Abbey Arnold/Softball/Pitcher
* St. Margaret’s, senior. Pitched a five-inning, no-hitter with 13 strikeouts and hit two home runs, one a grand slam, in a 19-0 victory over Fairmont.
Amanda Freed/Softball/Pitcher
* Pacifica, senior. Although she lost an extra-inning decision to top-ranked Foothill, she pitched no-hitters in her other two starts.
Jessica Hayes/Swimming
* University, freshman. Posted the county’s fastest time in the 50 freestyle this season, 24.23 seconds, in a 92-76 victory over Costa Mesa.
