Ice Dogs Take Control

Pavel Rosa, playing his third game for Long Beach, tallied the first playoff goal of his career to help the Ice Dogs to a 5-2 victory over the Las Vegas Thunder in an International Hockey League championship series first-round playoff game Sunday before 3,462 at the Long Beach Arena.

Long Beach took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five Turner Cup playoff series.

Long Beach’s Patrik Augusta scored two goals.
