The Valley Trauma Center is seeking volunteers to staff a 24-hour crisis hotline that provides sexual assault crisis services in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys. Training will be provided for all volunteers. For more information, call (818) 772-0196.
Staff Builders Hospice, 21243 Ventura Blvd., Suite 118, Woodland Hills, is looking for volunteers to assist terminally ill patients and their families. Duties include helping with household chores and reading to the patients. For more information, call the hospice at (800) 334-7859.
The city of Los Angeles Animal Services needs volunteers to assist in matching homeless pets with compatible owners. Volunteers are also needed to promote the adoption of homeless pets and educate the public on responsible pet ownership. A training session will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the East Valley Animal Service Center, 13131 Sherman Way, North Hollywood.
