Reno Air, abandoning its service to San Francisco from Orange County partly because of heavy competition from United Airlines, will offer three daily flights to Las Vegas from John Wayne Airport instead.
Although the nation’s gambling capital is one of Orange County’s top destinations, only America West, with six daily flights, serves that route out of John Wayne Airport.
Reno, which has been serving Orange County since 1994, also has 15 daily flights to San Jose, Las Vegas and Reno.
