Board to Receive Study on Secondary Schools
- Share via
The state of secondary education in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District will be the subject of a school board meeting tonight.
Shortly after it was learned that most incoming students at Newport Harbor High School were reading below their grade level, the district began a study of its middle and high school programs.
The board, which will receive the study tonight, might decide to overhaul the district’s secondary programs.
In addition to changing the curriculum, it might also consider ways to improve the space at the district’s secondary schools.
The board meets at 6 p.m. at the Newport-Mesa Education Center, 2985 Bear St., Costa Mesa.
