Longtime Ventura resident and retired real estate company owner Joyce F. Goodyear died Tuesday at her home following a lengthy illness. She was 65.
Goodyear was born June 18, 1933, in Mechanicsburg, Penn. She moved to Ventura in 1966 and owned Goodyear Real Estate until she retired in 1988.
Goodyear was described as a giving wife, mother and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Marlin Goodyear of Ventura; her mother, Edythe Foltz of Mechanicsburg; a son, Steven Goodyear of Modesto; a daughter, Carol Goodyear of Ventura; and two grandsons.
Services and burial will take place in Mechanicsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Goodyear’s name to the Livingston Memorial Nurses Assn.’s Hospice Program in Ventura.
Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura is handling the arrangements.
