Times Set for Baseball, Softball Finals

The Southern Section has set dates and times for its baseball and softball championship games, which begin Friday.
At Lakewood’s Mayfair Park, Rosary (26-3) plays third-seeded Corona Santiago (28-3) in the Division IV softball championship 5 p.m. Friday. It precedes the Division II game at 7:30 between Cerritos (19-5) and Quartz Hill (23-3-2).
The softball playoffs at Mayfair Park continue Saturday at 10 a.m. with third-seeded Orange Lutheran (20-10) against second-seeded Calvary Chapel (22-4) in Division V.
In Division III, defending champion Pacifica (28-3), the top-seeded team, plays Glendora St. Lucy’s (25-6-1) at 1 p.m. After the Division VI game between Camarillo Cornerstone Christian (21-3) and Lone Pine (19-6) at 4:30, top-seeded Mater Dei (29-3) will play Chino Hills Ayala (25-4) at 7:30 for the Division I championship.
The baseball playoffs are at Long Beach’s Blair Field Friday night and Dodger Stadium Saturday.
It will be an all-Orange County matchup in the Division IV championship game Saturday at Dodger Stadium, where La Quinta (30-1) meets Ocean View (21-10) at 10 a.m. That evening, Esperanza (21-7-1) will face La Crescenta Crescenta Valley (24-3-1) in the Division I final at 7:30.
In between, Westlake (19-10) plays West Covina South Hills (24-2) for the Division III title at 1 p.m., and Riverside Poly (22-6) meets Corona (23-7) in Division II at 4:30 p.m.
Friday’s doubleheader at Blair Field begins with La Verne Lutheran (18-2) playing Simi Valley Grace Brethren (20-2) for the Division VI title at 4:30 p.m., followed by Temecula Linfield (21-3) meeting Lake Isabella Kern Valley (22-3) at 7:30.
