1996 Chateau Sainte-Marie Entre-Deux-Mers “Vieilles Vignes,” Bordeaux (About $8)

This grassy Sauvignon Blanc from Entre-Deux-Mers may be the best wine under $10 I’ve tasted all year. Made from old vines, it has tremendous body and a cool touch of grapefruit in the finish. It’s a great summer wine, terrific with smoked fish, oysters and shellfish. This is one worth buying by the case.
