Dual Nationality

Re “Mexico’s Dual Nationality Opens Doors,” March 20: The real impact of dual nationality upon the U.S. will be greatly increased immigration from Mexico. Dual nationality removes the one remaining reluctance that Mexican citizens might have had about emigrating. Now they can move to the U.S. as if it were a region in Mexico and still retain most of the rights of Mexican citizenship.
The dual nationality act should convince even the most blindly pro-immigration lobbyist that immigration from neighboring Mexico is completely unlike any other wave of immigration that has swept across the U.S.
