Re “How Sunset Won the West” (May 1): Your article was absolutely dead on.
There are many cookie-cutter trendy home magazines with pointless articles like the [Conde Nast’s House & Garden] one about dogs sitting on pricey furniture; they are put out by people with plenty of pretensions and no sense. Sunset is useful and interesting and unique.
How likely is it that the H&G; with the dog article will be referred to for 10 years? I have Sunsets that are much older than that. Send the trendy stuff to the recycling bin. I will keep Sunset.
