Prescott Hill
Fullerton, Freshman
Football
Hill, from Norwalk John Glenn High, had a career day and helped Coach Gene Murphy earn a milestone victory as well. Hill rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner in overtime, as the Hornets beat Golden West, 30-24. The victory was the 100th for Murphy. Hill has 644 yards this season.
Cross-Country
Dan Gaston
* Saddleback, sophomore. Won the individual title at the Orange Empire Conference cross-country finals.
Kristie McMahan
Cypress, Freshman
Soccer
McMahan, from Marina High, scored two goals last week but the second was much more important than the first, which came in a 6-0 victory over Golden West. McMahan had the only goal--a slick left-footer off Nicole Terry’s assist--as first-place Cypress beat second-place Orange Coast, 1-0, Friday.
Cross-Country
