The first five sober drivers passing through a DUI checkpoint today will receive free turkeys, an incentive to be smart and safe this holiday season.
The Police Department and members of La Habra Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Coalition and Teens Getting Involved are sponsoring the giveaway. The checkpoint will be at Whittier and Harbor boulevards, from 9:15 p.m. until 2 a.m.
