In a recently approved update of its general plan, the city wants to create a mixed-use development of its Harbor Corridor to improve the physical, economic and social characteristics of the area. The corridor extends from Chapman Avenue south to Garden Grove Boulevard and from Harbor Boulevard west to Buaro Street. The southern part of the corridor, called Riverwalk, would be developed into a family-oriented retail-entertainment complex with shops, restaurants, a hotel and theaters.
