Group Launches Business Technology Center

The Community Financial Resource Center has launched a Business Innovation Technology Center that offers online banking, Internet access, financial software training, help with business plans and access to investment seminars for existing and aspiring entrepreneurs.
CFRC is an economic development organization that offers small-business loans and technical assistance to entrepreneurs in South Los Angeles.
The new technology center, known as Biztech, is located at 4060 S. Figueroa St. Merrill Lynch contributed financing as part of the Southern California Partnership for Economic Achievement venture, a $77-million three-year pilot program to create financial opportunities for minorities in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
In addition to helping finance the new center, Merrill Lynch and other investment firms will work with Biztech to conduct investment and wealth-creation seminars for local residents.
