16 (and Counting) For Cal Lutheran

The Cal Lutheran women’s volleyball team, ranked No. 7 in the NCAA Division III, set a school record with its 16th consecutive victory Tuesday night against Whittier.
The previous mark of 15 was established in 1995.
The same night, the Regals (16-1, 11-0) had their 32-game Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference winning streak snapped when Whittier (10-14, 5-5) pushed them to five games at Cal Lutheran.
Still unbeaten: After two consecutive second-place finishes in the Western State Conference, the Glendale College men’s soccer team appears a legitimate contender for the conference championship.
The Vaqueros defeated Citrus, 4-1, and Hancock, 5-1, last week to improve to 12-0-1, 5-0 in conference play.
