Seal Beach Boulevard will be spruced up with some new trees and landscaping, thanks to a recent state grant of $248,800.
A landscaped median strip will be added from Adolfo Lopez Drive to Pacific Coast Highway, and other improvements will be made south of PCH, City Manager Keith Till said.
Funding comes from the California Transportation Commission. Till said the owners of the Hellman Ranch property, the proposed site of a controversial residential development and golf course, will provide matching contributions and fees.
The city competed against 193 applicants, with about a third receiving money, Till said.
