AT&T; to Buy Brazil Firm

AT&T; Corp. said it agreed to buy Brazil’s Netstream, thus entering that country’s fast-growing market for Internet access and other telecommunications services. AT&T; said it will spend about $300 million in the acquisition and initial expansion of Netstream, which already has one of the biggest such networks in Brazil. Netstream provides high-speed Internet, voice, data and video services to corporate customers; AT&T; officials did not break out the exact purchase price. AT&T; shares fell 63 cents to close at $46.63 on the NYSE.
