Oxnard’s annual holiday parade will take place today throughout much of downtown.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. at the corner of C and 9th streets and ends at 11:30 a.m. at Plaza Park at B and 5th streets.
The theme of this year’s parade is “Hometown Holidays Cartoon Parade of the Century.” Oxnard residents dressed as Tom and Jerry will lead the parade, and dozens of floats will follow them throughout the city.
At the end of the parade, judges will present awards for the winning floats. Refreshments will also be available. The Greater Oxnard and Harbors Tourism Bureau is sponsoring the festivities.
